Profile

I am an independent photographer and artist. I approach photography as another way of expressing my creativity and art. I tend to seek a balance between artistic expression and commercialism. I have often found that if you do what you love and believe in, the money will follow. My work often sells as art, and I work on self-publishing projects. I like working with a variety of models. I have an open definition of what is considered attractive, interesting, and sexy. If you look at my work, you will see that I've worked with fitness models to "guys next door" to models whose appeal is artistic over commercial, etc... Beauty is subjective. Often what others consider a flaw, I will find as a virtue. I'm inspired by the old beefcake/erotic photos from the 1950's thru the 1970's. While models obviously pose for photos, I like to keep things natural. I prefer outdoor settings. I don't like to "over-pose" or "over-edit" my photos either. I like to use the lighting that I find in nature. While I will pose a model, I also want to catpure his natural movements. Fair warning: I don't use expensive equipment. The image I capture using the tools at hand is more important than how much I spend on equipment.
